Postgraduate Taught UK Update as of September 2025
Our unique Pulse trackers and Share of Search data provide insights on thousands of prospective students interested in UK Masters study opportunities. As of September 2025, we’re seeing that:
- International search interest in UK Masters study reaches its highest point of the previous two years from both EU and non-EU audiences. Interest from both has risen sharply since September 2024 after a year of relative stability surrounding policy and messaging.
- Growth trends remain similar to the August report as we see all but one of the top 15 audiences see YoY growth in search interest. Growth remains highest from South Asia.
- Domestic audiences are more likely to target more immediate entry points than their international counterparts. Almost half of the international audience is now looking at Spring 2026 entry.
- Our Spotlight this month takes a look at how international study destination interests are moving in a shifting landscape. We see that across both PGT and PGR, interest in UK study is growing faster than the other members of the ‘Big 4’. Mark explores why this might be, and what we can learn from it, on the FAU blog.
