Postgraduate Research Global Update as of December 2025

Our unique Pulse trackers and Share of Search data provide insights on thousands of prospective students interested in Global PhD opportunities. As of December 2025, we’re seeing that:

• Canadian research continues to see the largest growth from all tracked audiences, while Australia also sees significant growth from European audiences.
  
  
• All tracked audiences are currently more likely to seek Blended over Online study. However, On Campus remains the preference for all - in particular prospective Asian and African students, of whom 86% and 77% respectively select traditional delivery.
  
  
• Entry point interests continue to shift from Spring 2026 to Autumn 2026 with more than half of audiences for all tracked destinations now seeking entry during the 2026/27 academic year.
  
  
• After a recent stagnation, search interest in AI research is once again growing in the USA, Canada where it is the most popular specialism for PGR audiences.
