Postgraduate Research Global Update as of November 2025

Our unique Pulse trackers and Share of Search data provide insights on thousands of prospective students interested in Global PhD opportunities. As of November 2025, we’re seeing that:

• Canadian research continues to see the largest growth from all tracked audiences, recovering from the drops we saw in late 2024. It overtakes Australia as the top destination for African audiences.
  
  
• All tracked audiences are currently more likely to seek Blended over Online study. However, On Campus remains the preference for all - in particular prospective Asian students, of whom 87% selected traditional delivery.
  
  
• Entry point interests are steadily shifting from Spring 2026 to Autumn 2026 with the latter now more popular for all but one of our tracked destinations.
  
  
• Having seen significant year-on-year growth in the USA, Molecular Biology has become a top 3 research specialism in all tracked destinations.
