Postgraduate Research Global Pulse Update as of August 2024

Our unique Pulse trackers and Share of Search data provide insights on thousands of prospective international students interested in Global PhD opportunities. As of August 2024, we’re seeing that:

• PhD Destination interest from the European and North American audiences is very stable, however, Asian and African audiences are pivoting away from Australia and Germany.
  
  
• Asian audiences are most interested in on campus delivery, whereas a majority of European and North American audiences are seeking flexible PGR opportunities.
  
  
• Audiences considering postgraduate study in Europe are currently most interested in the 2024/25 academic year. Exceptions are the Netherlands and France where almost a third are looking at 2025/26. The pipeline for the USA is similarly extended.
  
  
• Interest in Artificial Intelligence is growing for all audiences, most notably from Europe and Asia.
