Postgraduate Research Pulse Update as of Mar 2024

Our unique Pulse trackers and Share of Search data provide insights on thousands of prospective international students interested in UK PhD opportunities. As of Mar 2024, we’re seeing that:

• Positive sentiment about PhD study appears to have dropped substantially in February with no obvious underlying cause (the trend is present across different demographics).
• International Share of Search for the UK continues to be up year-on-year.
• Autumn 24 is now the largest segment for all (the same is true for
  PGT) but internationals in particular remain very interested in Spring 24.
• We’re seeing strong growth in Computer Science and related specialisms such as Cyber Security, Data Science and (of course) Artificial Intelligence.
