Our unique Pulse trackers and Share of Search data provide insights on thousands of prospective international students interested in UK PhD opportunities. As of Oct 2023, we’re seeing that:

• Both domestic and international audiences are feeling more confident about doing a UK PhD, with positive sentiment returning to 2022 levels
• Audiences are focussing on 2024 starts, with only 16% of people still looking for a PhD starting in Autumn 2023 and interest in Autumn 2024 accelerating
• Domestic audiences hold the largest Share of Search overall, with moderate growth from the Indian subcontinent and slight drops in other regions
• Interest in Computer Science PhDs continues to surge for both domestic and international audiences, driven by AI and related fields.
