Postgraduate Taught Pulse Update as of Sep 2023

Our unique Pulse trackers and Share of Search data provide insights on thousands of prospective international students interested in UK Masters study opportunities. As of Sep 2023, we’re seeing that:

• Domestic confidence in UK Masters study is accelerating (although, perhaps unsurprisingly, we aren’t seeing the same for international); audiences are focussed on Spring and Autumn 2024
• Flexible study continues to be more popular with domestic audiences with 43% of prospective students looking for an online Masters (this will correlate with older ‘returner’ age groups)
• South Asian (Indian) Share of Search has overtaken the UK, but domestic and European interest is up year-on-year; African interest is falling due to visa and foreign exchange obstacles
• Domestic interest in Computer Science is up year-on-year (driven by AI subject areas); international interest in Arts & Humanities also continues to grow.
