Postgraduate Taught UK Update as of August 2024

Our unique Pulse trackers and Share of Search data provide insights on thousands of prospective international students interested in UK Masters study opportunities. As of August 2024, we’re seeing that:

• Domestic audiences are increasingly looking at Autumn 2024 entry points. The international audience, however, is beginning to focus on Spring 2025.
  
  
• International Share of Search from the non-EU audience falls to its lowest point of the last two years, predominantly due to various Asian and African audiences pivoting to European destinations. Interest from the EU audience, by contrast, has risen for consecutive months.
  
  
• 4 of the 5 fastest growing specialisms are related to different areas of Healthcare and Medicine.
  
  
• Our Spotlight this month explores how international students expect to fund their UK Masters. University scholarships are the most likely option, followed by Government funding (including loans). We’ve explored audiences’ funding intentions in more detail on the site.
