Postgraduate Taught UK Update as of January 2025
Our unique Pulse trackers and Share of Search data provide insights on thousands of prospective international students interested in UK Masters study opportunities. As of January 2025, we’re seeing that:
- After a recent rise, International (non-EU) interest in UK Masters study remains around the level we saw last year. EU interest continues to trend slightly below last year’s levels.
- We’ve added a new graphic revealing where growth in UK study interest is strongest. We see the most significant increase from South Asian audiences, particularly Nepal, but audiences from Africa, East Asia and West & Central Asia are also growing well.
- All audiences see a rise in interest for Autumn 2025 entry. Almost 3/4 of UK Continuers are now targeting September starts, whereas Returners are still more focused on Spring 25.
- Our Spotlight this month investigates how important flexibility is to older (and more substantial) PG audiences - something our data is uniquely equipped to explore. We find a strong correlation between age and interest in part-time study. To further understand shifting audience demographics, their study preferences and the opportunities these
