Postgraduate Taught UK Update as of June 2025
Our unique Pulse trackers and Share of Search data provide insights on thousands of prospective students interested in UK Masters study opportunities. As of June 2025, we’re seeing that:
- International (non-EU) search interest in UK Masters study continues to rise beyond any level we have seen for at least two years. Interest from the EU also rises, overtaking the previous year’s trend for the first time this year.
- Much of this growth for UK Masters continues to be driven by African and South Asian audiences. We also see strong growth from Ireland and Canada this month, with interest from both pivoting away from US study and towards the UK.
- International audiences see a slight rise in ‘uncertainty’ coinciding with the publication of the Immigration White Paper. However, attitudes to UK study remain broadly positive.
- Our Spotlight this month explores which social media platforms influence study choice, and the Keystone State of Student Recruitment 2025 finds that prospective Masters students are a diverse audience in this regard. Slightly over half (56%) state that LinkedIn and YouTube are likely to influence them, however, even the least influential platform, TikTok, was selected by 9%, suggesting that there are still successes to be had there. We have further explored the insights found in the Keystone SSR 2025 on the blog.
