Postgraduate Taught UK Update as of March 2025

Our unique Pulse trackers and Share of Search data provide insights on thousands of prospective international students interested in UK Masters study opportunities. As of March 2025, we’re seeing that:

  • International (non-EU) interest in UK Masters study reaches it’s highest point since September 2023 (prior to the impact of 2024/25 visa changes).

  • This rise is reflected in the fastest growing audiences for UK Masters, where we continue to see the largest growth from South Asia, North America & Africa. Nepal remains the fastest growing single audience, slightly ahead of Bangladesh.

  • Autumn 2025 remains the most popular entry point for UK Returners & Internationals, with around two-thirds of both audiences interested in it. Domestic Continuers are now almost evenly split between Autumn 2025 and Autumn 2026.

  • Our Spotlight this month investigates how welcoming the ‘big four’ anglophone destinations are thought to be by international students. The UK comes out on top, with around 75% of audiences viewing it as either ‘quite’ or ‘very’ welcoming compared to around 60% for the USA and Canada. We’ve dug into this topic further on the site, with breakdowns for specific audiences.
