Postgraduate Taught UK Update as of October 2024

Our unique Pulse trackers and Share of Search data provide insights on thousands of prospective international students interested in UK Masters study opportunities. As of October 2024, we’re seeing that:

• International (non-EU) interest in UK Masters study is recovering and positive sentiment is at its highest since Spring. EU interest dips slightly below its 2023 level for the first time since June.
  
  
• Domestic sentiment fluctuates, but audiences are becoming slightly more likely to feel positive about Masters study.
  
  
• UK Returners continue to target immediate entry (over 40% are still considering Autumn 2024). UK Continuers are now focused on Autumn 2025, while almost half of International audiences are seeking Spring 2025 entry.
  
  
• Our Spotlight this month explores the popularity of January starts with different audiences. African and South Asian audiences are particularly interested in this option for the UK, perhaps prompted by impending visa changes in Australia and Canada.
