Meet the speakers 

 

Ewan Fairweather    

Ewan Fairweather is the postgraduate Student Recruitment Manager, The University of Edinburgh and has worked in Higher Education for the past decade, initially at Sheffield Hallam and Leeds Beckett universities, and latterly at the Higher Education Academy (now Advance HE). His current role is in Postgraduate Student Recruitment at the University of Edinburgh where he is heavily involved in planning and delivering postgraduate recruitment events. Prior to that he worked in marketing and product development for a global drinks brand and a national tourism organisation.

Kristin Sargeant  is EU Student Recruitment Manager, The University of Edinburgh and has worked in Higher Education since 2005, initially in the United States and since 2009 at the University of Edinburgh. She received her Masters Degree in “Higher Education – Student Development” from The Ohio State University. Her current role is in Postgraduate Student Recruitment at the University of Edinburgh, where she is an EU Student Recruitment Manager and since the Covid-19 pandemic has been highly involved in planning and delivering virtual postgraduate recruitment events. Her previous roles in the University of Edinburgh have included being the Residence Life Coordinator as well as the Student Induction Coordinator.
